History

Highlands School Barcelona was founded in 2000 with a vision of being an innovative, Catholic school in Barcelona with a strong emphasis on English education. It became a reality in 2001 on Immaculada and Monestir streets. In 2012, the school moved to Esplugues de Llobregat, acquiring facilities that were originally a sports center.

The campus now spans 20,000 square meters with features like five paddle tennis courts, two five-a-side football fields, an seven-a-side artificial grass football field, volleyball and basketball courts, playgrounds, a green area, and even a vegetable garden, all aimed at enhancing student development.

The school has undergone significant growth, with major renovations in 2014, 2017, and 2021. This has contributed to its international recognition, aided by its advantageous location near Barcelona, and it being a unique educational project in the city. Highlands School Barcelona continues to grow its international project.

Since 2014, Highlands School Barcelona has been an International Cambridge School, offering students a British and national curriculum. Since 2009, all students have achieved a 100% pass rate in Selectividad examinations.
