Academic excellence

Personalised learning that drives excellence

We use several techniques that promote focused and personalized learning to bring out the best in each student. We do this through:

– Continuous diagnostic evaluationto create personalized work plans, promote teamwork and human relations.

– Masterclasswith leading professionals in various areas.

Study skills: we teach study techniques to get the most out of the PAU (Spanish university entrance exams) and university life. They include:

  • Planning a schedule
  • Task scheduling
  • Summaries and underlining
  • Memorization techniques

– Intensive trainingwith mock exams and short courses for the PAU.

– Research Workwhere students develop research and communication skills.

These strategies do more than prepare students for exams and academic challenges: they also strengthen their ability to thrive at university and in professional life.

Global learners

International guidance and support

We continue our multilingual teaching and international approach in Sixth Form, in particular:

  • Science pathway in English: we teach physics, biology and chemistry in English so that students master the content in the language of the university entrance exams
  • Preparation for external English language qualifications: we consolidate students’ English in classes grouped by level, at C1–C2 of the Common European Framework
  • Preparation for French language qualifications
  • International approach: we offer international experiences to ease the transition to university and working life, with visiting lecturers, specialist guidance and debates
  • International university guidance: we work with IEC to provide personalised advice and workshops on applying to universities abroad

Supported students

All-round academic development and careers guidance

We take an all-round approach to guiding students in their academic and career development, making sure each of them has a personalised plan and access to careers guidance.

Personalised study plan

  • The form tutor and the guidance department draw up a specific plan for each student
  • Coordination with subject teachers, the guidance department and the school chaplaincy

Careers guidance

  • Information days: activities and events to help students make decisions about their future careers
  • Round tables with professionals: opportunities to meet experts in a range of fields
  • Progression to universities abroad: support throughout the admissions process, including putting together an academic and personal portfolio
  • The WE Programme gives students in 1º de Bachillerato (age 16–17) real work experience, developing responsibility, an appreciation of work and the ability to work as a team

In addition, one-to-one guidance and support and careers guidance help students to plan their academic future. This all-round approach develops essential skills such as creativity, responsibility and critical thinking, preparing students to meet global and personal challenges with confidence.

Mentoring programmes

The aim of the programme is to support each student at this important personal and academic moment, helping them to reflect on what they have learned over these years and to look to the future with enthusiasm. Through mentoring, a mentor supports each student, with complete respect for who they are and the pace they set, as they take on the challenge of growing towards their full potential.

Sports Programme

Through physical activity and sporting competition, our students develop essential virtues such as teamwork, perseverance and respect, and are encouraged to lead active, healthy lives.

Our training programmes allow students to learn and specialise in a range of sports, with opportunities to take part in organised races and competitions. Thanks to our extensive facilities, the school offers a wide variety of sports:

  • Football
  • Basketball
  • Volleyball
  • Padel
  • Table tennis
  • Badminton
  • Parkour
  • Cycling
  • Running
  • Baseball

Digital learners

Digital environment

  • We have created a digital learning ecosystem in Office 365 that enriches how our lessons work and supports learning. It lets us collaborate, communicate and share content securely and accessibly with our students, manage the classroom, organise assignments, access a wider range of content and support continuity in our students’ education.

  • The aim is to develop digital citizenship in students so that they learn to use technology effectively and efficiently without forgetting the social and ethical responsibility that comes with its use.

Committed students

Community involvement

Our students take part in community projects that develop their awareness of other people’s needs and let them experience how transformative it is to serve the most disadvantaged in our society.

  • Defence of life: supporting pregnant women without resources so they can move forward
  • Altius Foundation (Fundación Altius): the “You are not alone” project, providing food to people in need.
  • Care homes for people with disabilities: letters and online meetings
