From infancy, students learn English, and are integrated into the international curriculum from the age of 5 thanks to our certification as a Cambridge International School.

At our private nursery in Barcelona, we offer a complete educational programme for children aged 1 to 5 years. Through initiatives such as BuildingMaths, Baby Sign Language, Music Living Programme and other programmes for this stage, we encourage the comprehensive development of our students in areas such as mathematics, language, science, art, music, sport and literacy.

We want our students to experience the love of Jesus Christ in a personal way and to feel the Church as a big family. Through visits to the chapel, children get closer to God and discover the beauty of prayer.

We firmly believe in the importance of family-school collaboration. That is why, in our nursery, we offer parents various activities and workshops that complement their children’s education, such as schools and events for parents where the “Highlands family” is created and born.

Our individual tutoring provides close and personalized support to each family throughout the course. Through detailed monitoring of each child’s development, we can adapt our educational strategies to enhance their strengths and meet their specific needs.

At Highlands School we consider languages to be fundamental tools for our students to successfully navigate a globalised world. At Highlands School Barcelona, we introduce English from an early age using the synthetic phonetic method, thus fostering a solid linguistic foundation. In addition, through stories, songs and nursery rhymes, we transmit the cultural richness of the English language. Throughout the year, we organise a variety of themed events that immerse our students in Anglo-Saxon culture, such as Thanksgiving, St. Patrick’s Day and Book Day, among others.

Our classrooms are equipped with interactive whiteboards and other devices, which facilitate dynamic and collaborative learning. Through interactive activities and the exploration of multimedia languages, our students develop 21st century skills and learn to use technological tools responsibly. In addition, we gradually introduce programming and robotics, using platforms such as Beebots, to encourage computational thinking and creativity.

At our nursery, we promote the comprehensive development of children, fostering not only their cognitive abilities, but also their values and emotional well-being.
